HemoRio - The organ of the State Department of Health and Civil Defense is urging the population to donate blood. The blood center needs to send 300 bags of blood to the mountain region. The address is HemoRio at Rua Frei Caneca, No. 8, in downtown Rio The agency operates daily from 7am to 18 hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. To be a candidate for donation, the volunteer should have between 18 and 65, weigh over 50 pounds, be in good health and take an official photo identification. Military Police - All battalions of military police in Rio are also working with centers of blood donations for victims. Pão de Açúcar - The group has set up collection sites at all 100 stores of Pão de Açúcar network, ABC CompreBem, Sendas, Extra Supermarket, and Hypermarkets Assam across the state to allow customers to cooperate with donations of nonperishable food, clothes and blankets. The action will last until Jan. 26. All material collected will be taken to the affected regions by means of logistic system of the Group.
Donations in toll plazas - According to information from the Concer, the toll plazas of the BR-040 located in Duque de Caxias (km 104), AREAL (km 45) and Simon Perez (816 km), beyond the company's headquarters ( 110/JF km in Caxias) work from this week as gas stations to collect donations for the homeless. The Concer calls for donations, preferably mineral water, toiletries and cleaning, bed linen, bath and table, and mattresses. At the toll plazas, donations can be delivered in the ranks of the Service User Information Highway, running from second to second, 24 hours a day.
Federal Highway Police - The PRF has set up four stations to collect food and personal hygiene products. Two points will work 24 hours and one of them is installed in the BR-116 at the time the toll of the Rio-Mage, and the other on the BR-101, the stretch of Casimiro de Abreu. Two other stations in the Rio-Petrópolis and President Dutra Highway, will operate from 8am to 17 hours. The PRF said the food collected will be delivered to the Red Cross, which will be responsible for making the distribution to victims.
Teresópolis - The city is receiving donations of nonperishable food, water, clothing and blankets for the homeless from the rains. Frozen Spa - A company that provides frozen meals light, released the commercial kitchen to produce meals that are being taken to shelters in Petropolis. Two collection points were established: one in the Petropolis Academy at Aqua Sports, and another in Itaipava at the office of Councilman Thiago Damaceno. The Frozen Spa seeks to help those who can hurt you in an emergency, mineral water, rice, beans and pasta. From collections made:
